What is covered here?

AIRFIELDS:This covers all airfields , past and present within the county. A short description is given here but clicking on the
Airfield name will take you to the appropriate page at the HAMPSHIRE AIRFIELDS Website where you will find full details, maps, companies and military units based, etc .etc. AIRSTRIPS Etc. This category covers the many private airstrips and helicopter landing site that have ,or do exist within Hampshire. MANUFACTURERS:The county has seen the coming ,and going ,of many well known names in the aircraft manufacturing world. Supermarine,Vickers,Fairey,De Havilland ,Airspeed and many others have come and gone. Today there are no major aircraft manufacturing sites in Hampshire, although component manufacture still involves a few small sites. More detailed information on aircraft production by the individual manufacturers , including Production lists, is available on the AIRCRAFT PRODUCTION LISTS pages. ANY OTHER AVIATION RELATED SITES: A broad heading covering anything not in the first four sections. This means such things as aviation museums, preserved aircraft a non airfield locations, stored aircraft, scrapped aircraft in scrapyards. Also included here are Air traffic control and radar units not at airfields, RAF establishments off airfields, and literally anything else aeronautical, anywhere in the county. .
